Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you get your data? Is it trustworthy?

We are committed to only posting verified and reputable data on our site. Our data is aggregated from state and federal government websites and is updated as soon as possible. For more information, click on the provided source for each state.

Where do I sign up for my vaccine?

If you are eligible to receive a vaccine, you can sign up to receive it according to your state’s guidelines. With the exception of federal institutions (e.g. the military), all vaccination administration policies are dictated at the state level. Please refer to the specific guidelines of your state by using our state search function at the top of the page.

What vaccines are being offered in the U.S.?

The U.S. is managing state allocations of Pfizer and BioNTech’s, Moderna’s, and Johnson & Johnson's vaccines. Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses taken several weeks apart, while Johnson & Johnson's only requires a single dose.

Are the vaccines safe?

The vaccines developed by Pfizer - BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson have been federally approved for administration in the U.S. These vaccines underwent rigorous clinical trials assessing their safety and efficacy. Please refer to the CDC for more information about vaccine safety.

Does the vaccine cost money?

From the CDC: “Vaccine doses purchased with U.S. taxpayer dollars will be given to the American people at no cost. However, vaccination providers can charge an administration fee for giving someone the shot. Vaccination providers can be reimbursed for this by the patient’s public or private insurance company or, for uninsured patients, by the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Provider Relief Fund. No one can be denied a vaccine if they are unable to pay the vaccine administration fee.”
